Tylose® MH 60004 P6 is a water-soluble, non-ionic, modified methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose powder with standard etherification. It displays very fast consistency development, moderate sag resistance and water demand, very high water retention, and low influence on cement hydration. This grade of methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose (MHEC) is ideal for use in cement tile adhesives.

Packaging, Storage, Safety instructions : Like all fine-particle organic substances, cellulose ethers constitute a dust explosion hazard. Dust formation and deposits must be kept to a minimum so that no ignitable dust/air mixtures can form. Ignition sources suchas naked flames, hot surfaces, sparks and static electricity should be avoided. Tylose starts to decompose at about 200°C. Its ignition temperature is >360°C. Tylose burns easily and the fire may spread. When stored in closed containers, or in its original packaging in a dry place at room temperature, Tylose can be kept for a long time. In the case of high viscosity grades, a slow loss of viscosity can be measured after lengthy storage (>1 year). Tylose absorbs water from moist air. Once opened, container must be resealed and kept tightly closed. This Tylose-type is supplied in multi-ply paper bags with polyethylene intermediate layer and/or in big bags.

Uses : Water retention aid, thickening agent, protective colloid, suspending agent, binder and stabilizer.
Pharmaceutical Applications : Hydroxyethylmethyl cellulose is used as an excipient in a wide range of pharmaceutical products, including oral tablets and suspensions, and topical gel preparations. It has similar properties to methylcellulose, but the hydroxyethyl groups make it more readily soluble in water and solutions are more tolerant of salts and have a higher coagulation temperature.
Safety :Hydroxyethylmethyl cellulose is used as an excipient in various oral and topical pharmaceutical preparations, and is generally regarded as an essentially nontoxic and nonirritant material.
storage :Hydroxyethylmethyl cellulose is hygroscopic and should therefore be stored under dry conditions away from heat.
Regulatory Status : GRAS listed. Included in nonparenteral medicines licensed in Europe (oral suspensions, tablets, and topical preparations).

Hidroksi etil selüloz (TYLOSE MH 60004 P6) Özellikler: Sıcak yada soğuk suda çözünebilir, tortu bırakmaz. Normal olarak organik solventlerde çözünmez. PH değeri 2-12 arasında olduğunda viskozite değişimi küçüktür fakat pH değeri bu aralıktan daha düşük olduğunda azalır.
Kullanım alanları: Non iyonik bir yüzey aktif olarak; kıvam verici, film oluşturucu ve pseudoplastik çözelti özellikleri taşıyan bir polimerdir. Ayrıca süspanse edici ajan, yapıştırıcı ajan, emülsifikasyon ajanı, su tutma ajanı ve koruyucu ajan olarak kullanılır. Uygulaması kolay ve stabil bir ürün olması sebebiyle boya sanayiinden inşaat sanayiine ve pek çok uygulamaya kadar çeşitli kullanım alanları mevcuttur. Non iyonik bazda olduğu için suda çözünür polimerler, yüzey aktif ve tuzlarla birlikte yer alabilir. Formülasyondaki tuzu tolere edebilir. Viskozitede kararlıdır ve küf karşıtıdır. HEC'nin en önemli uygulaması emülsiyon katkısı, donmuş jelatin, losyon, göz temizleme ajanı ve tabletlerde kullanımının yanısıra yapıştırıcı koruyucu jelatin, kıvam verici ajan ve stabilize edici ajan olarak kullanımıdır. Vantilasyonu sağlanmış alanlarda ve güneş ışığından uzak saklanmalıdır.
